Join us for a Yoga in Slings Adventure.
During this 3 week adventure, we will take a journey of self discovery and creative play.
Wednesday evenings : 11th, 18th & 25th @ 6pm
We will work through a progression of poses, where one can go deeper with less effort. As the sling takes some or all of your body weight, we tend to go to a whole new level with core stability and strength, comfort circles, trust and surrender. It really is a fun and creative way to play with your asanas and move your body through space. As you progress, you will find a greater ability to focus on correct alignment or intension, or just softening into the grace or length of a pose. The many benefits of inversions are so much more accessible in a sling and soooo much fun!
Each week will be a complete yoga class with a variety of poses. We will progress through the weeks with a slightly different focus each week.
Week 1 : Will take a restorative approach - Easing into the more supported and traditional versions of our yoga asanas.
Week 2 : Core strength, traditional poses and inversion practice will form the bases of this week.
Week 3: Here we will extend into the more creative ways to play in a sling. Creating flow, using core strength and working deeper into backbends.
